The business world is mostly dominated by males who easily move up the career ladder in short amounts of time, while females spend years trying to make the same career advancements. While women struggle to become CEO’s or presidents of the companies they work for, one of the biggest things they struggle with is funding for their businesses. While there are investors that there exclusively invest in female-led companies, there is still a significant need for more investors!
One of the hardest things for women to receive for their businesses is funding. Data collected by the Center for Venture Research showed that 22% of early-stage companies were run by women and had received funding, a number that is very low for the amount of female-led businesses in the market. Women-owned and led businesses that are in the early stages need to be funded. It is more difficult for women to secure funding for their business ventures, but female start-ups offer their investors the opportunity to invest in a new company and allow them to do their part in advancing gender parity.
